CINDY HUNTER, MSW, LSW, is an associate professor and the director of field placement in the Department of Social Work at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.  She teaches an integrative field seminar and serves as a field liaison. She is co-chair of the Baccalaureate Program Directors Field Committee and has trained new field directors since 2009. She is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Field Consortium and leads a Virginia satellite branch of that consortium. She has recently been appointed to the Council on Field Education of the Council of Social Work Education. Publications and presentations focus on field education, field seminar, and generalist practice. Her MSW is from Howard University.
