GINNY TERRY RAYMOND has a BS in Sociology, MSW from Tulane University, and PhD in Social Work from the University of Denver.  She has post-MSW practice experience in mental health and school social work.  She recently retired as faculty emerita after 37 years with the University of Alabama School of Social Work, where she taught BSW, MSW and PhD classes while also serving as a field liaison, eight years as a field instructor, seven years as chair of the BSW program, and ten years as associate dean.  She was elected to the Board of Directors of the Baccalaureate Program Directors and elected twice to the Board of Directors of the Council on Social Work Education.  She served as a CSWE accreditation site visitor and team chair and as a consultant to BSW programs.  She has published numerous articles, primarily in social work education journals, and two book chapters.
