JULIANNE WAYNE, EdD, MSW, is currently associate professor and director of field education at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Prior to joining the University of Connecticut faculty, she spent 23 years at the Boston University School of Social work as a member of the group work sequence, director of field education and later as associate dean. In all, she has provided educational and administrative leadership in field education for nearly 30 years.  She is widely published in the areas of social work education, field education and social group work practice. She was able to integrate these academic arenas in the co-authored book (with Carol Cohen), Group Work Education in the Field.
