LYNDA SOWBEL, PhD, LCSW-C, associate professor of social work and director of field education at Hood College in Frederick Maryland, is an experienced clinician, field instructor, educator and researcher. She served on task forces for the Maryland Licensing Board on Maryland Ethics Regulations and Licensing Reciprocity. Her work on ambivalence in field education, and inflation of field performance ratings has been published in the Journal of Social Work Education, and gerontology articles have been published in the Journal of Gerontological Social Work, and the Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work. She gave the keynote address at the University of Wisconsin’s Social Work Field Conference. She has been appointed to the Council on Field Education of the Council on Social Work Education.
