SHEILA R. DENNIS, MSW is currently serving as the interim director of field education at Indiana University School of Social Work, overseeing BSW and MSW field education for 6 campuses and an online MSW program.  Possessing a BSW, MSW, and pursuing a PhD in social work, Sheila’s educational focus has been anchored in the social work profession. Since 2004, she has taught social work courses and facilitated field education at Indiana University, Anderson University, and Royal Holloway University of London, where she also received a postgraduate certificate in teaching and learning.  Sheila has presented on field assessment approaches at the annual Baccalaureate Program Directors (BPD) conference and the Council on Social Work Education Annual Program Meeting 2010-2012.  She is a member of the BPD Field Committee.  Her current research interests and publications include issues of diversity and the epistemology of social work assessment.
